We talk first.
A proper conversation about your business, your customers, your competitors and what a good result looks like to you. If a website isn't what you need, or a smaller job would do, we'll say so.
We plan the site.
Which pages you need, what goes on them and how people move between them. We look at what your customers search for on Google at this stage, so the structure fits.
We design it.
Our designer designs the site around your brand and your customers. You see the designs and agree them before any code is written.
We build it.
Our developers code it from scratch, no page builders or templates, and we test it before it goes anywhere near the public.
We keep it on track.
A project manager oversees the job from start to finish, so you always know what's happening and what's needed from you.
We launch it.
After that we can host it and look after it, or hand it over to you. Either is fine.

How We Build It
We code every theme ourselves. There's no page builder or off-the-shelf template underneath, which means nothing on the page that doesn't need to be there.

Most of what we build is WordPress or WooCommerce. We also build on Shopify and fully custom platforms when the job calls for it.

Why we don't use page builders.
A shortcut that tends to cost you later.
Page builders are fine for a quick DIY site. On a business website they tend to add a lot of code the page doesn't need, which slows it down, plus more plugins that have to be kept up to date. Slow pages lose visitors, and Google takes page speed into account too.
Coding the theme ourselves keeps the site light and easier to keep secure. It's still built so you can edit your own text, images and pages in WordPress without ringing us every time.

Built with SEO in mind.
A site nobody can find isn't much use to anyone.
We do SEO and Google Ads as well as design, so we build with search in mind from the first sketch instead of adding it on afterwards. The page structure follows what people search for. Titles, headings and structured data are set up properly. And on a redesign we redirect the old pages to the new ones, so you don't lose the rankings your old site earned.

01 How much does a website cost?
It depends on the site. A brochure website for a local business is a very different job to a shop with hundreds of products and a stock system to connect. After a first conversation we'll give you a fixed, itemised quote with timescales, so you know exactly what you're paying for before we start.
02 How long does it take to build a website?
A small business website usually takes around two weeks from sign-off to launch, and almost every site we build is finished within two months. The thing that slows a project down is waiting for text and images, so the sooner we have those, the sooner you launch.
03 Do I own my website?
Yes. Once the project is paid for, the website, the design and the content are yours. Your domain is registered in your own name from the start, not ours. It's worth asking any agency this before you sign anything.
04 Is WordPress good for business websites?
Yes, when it's built well. It's flexible, widely supported and easy for you to edit. Most of the complaints about WordPress come from heavy themes and too many plugins, which is why we code our own themes.
05 Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
It can if it's done badly. If old pages disappear or change address without a redirect, you lose the rankings they'd earned. We look at what your current site ranks for before we touch anything, and we redirect every page that matters.
06 Can I update the website myself?
Yes. We build it so you can edit text, images and pages in WordPress. If you'd rather not, our maintenance packages include content changes.
