PPC Management

Google Ads, Google Shopping and remarketing, run by people who'd rather report a lead than a click. PPC puts your business at the top of Google the moment someone searches for what you sell. It's the quickest way to get in front of people who are ready to buy, and it's also the quickest way to spend a lot of money on the wrong ones. Our PPC management covers Google Ads, Google Shopping and remarketing. We're Google Ads certified, we've run campaigns since 2018, and every month you'll see exactly what you spent and what it brought in.

PPC Management

Why most ad accounts leak money.

When we take over a Google Ads account, we tend to find the same things. Budget going on searches that sound relevant but aren't. Ads pointing at the homepage. Nobody tracking which clicks turn into calls or sales.

None of that means Google Ads doesn't work. It means the account was set up to get clicks rather than customers, and those are different jobs.

How we manage PPC

We look before we spend.

If you already have an account, we audit it first. If you don't, we look at your market, what your competitors are bidding on and what a lead is worth to you, so the budget makes sense from day one.

We look before we spend.

We set up tracking first.

Calls, forms and sales are tracked before the first ad goes live. Without that, nobody can tell you whether the money is working.

We set up tracking first.

We build the campaigns.

Keywords, ad copy, audiences and landing pages, structured so it's clear where every pound goes.

We build the campaigns.

We check the landing pages.

Sending paid traffic to a slow or confusing page wastes the budget. Because we build websites too, we can fix the page rather than just point at it.

We check the landing pages.

We manage it every week.

Search terms, bids, budgets and ad copy get reviewed and adjusted. This is the part that separates a managed account from one that was set up once and left.

We manage it every week.

We report every month.

You get a plain-English report on what you spent, what it brought in and what we're changing next.

We report every month.

What's Included

Google Ads

Google Ads

Search campaigns that show your ad when someone types in what you offer. We write the ads, choose the searches, set the budgets and manage them week in, week out.

Google Shopping

Google Shopping

If you sell products online, Shopping ads put your product, price and picture at the top of the results. We set up and maintain the product feed, which is where most Shopping campaigns go wrong.

Remarketing

Remarketing

Most people don't buy on their first visit. Remarketing shows your ads to people who've already been to your site, so you're still in front of them when they're ready.

Lead generation campaigns

Lead generation campaigns

For service businesses where an enquiry is the goal: campaigns built and judged on cost per lead, with every call and form tracked back to the keyword that earned it.

PPC audits

PPC audits

Already running ads and not sure they're working? We'll go through the account and tell you plainly where the budget is going and what we'd change. You can act on it yourself or ask us to.

Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads)

Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads)

Bing and the other Microsoft search engines carry a smaller share of searches than Google, but clicks are usually cheaper and far fewer of your competitors bother with them. For some businesses that makes it a cost-effective extra channel, and we can run it alongside your Google Ads from the same tracking and reporting.

We won't run ads for your competitor.

We don't manage PPC for two businesses in the same industry in the same area. If we did, we'd be bidding against ourselves with your money. One business per industry, per service area.

What you'll see each month.

Spend, leads and what we're doing about it.

You'll get a report that shows what you spent, what it produced and what each enquiry or sale cost you, measured by your own order or enquiry tracking rather than Google's estimate, which tends to flatter. It breaks the account down by campaign so you can see which products or services the money is working for, lists the changes we made that month and what they did (when we split Mobiquip's pushchair product groups so each had its own bid, ads orders went from 1.1 a day to 2.8 within a fortnight), and sets out what we're doing next. If a campaign isn't paying for itself, the report says so.

Ads and website under one roof.

Why the landing page matters as much as the ad.

An ad's job is to get the click. The landing page's job is to turn that click into a call or a sale, and a lot of PPC agencies can't touch it. They tell you the page needs work and wait for someone else to do it.

We build websites, so when a landing page needs changing, our developers change it. And because we run SEO as well, the searches we see converting in your ads help us decide what your site should be ranking for.

FAQs

01 How much does Google Ads cost?

There are two costs: the money you pay Google for clicks, and the fee for managing the account. The click cost depends on your industry, with competitive sectors like legal, finance and trades costing more per click than most. We recommend a starting ad budget of at least £500 a month, because below that there isn't enough data to improve the campaign. Our management fee is agreed after the audit, once we know the size of the account, and you can change your ad budget at any time.

02 How long does it take for Google Ads to work?

Ads can start showing on the day they go live, so you'll see traffic straight away. Getting the cost per lead down takes longer, usually a few months of reviewing search terms and refining the campaigns as the data comes in. The first month is mostly about learning what works.

03 Is PPC better than SEO?

They do different jobs. PPC gets you to the top of Google now, and stops the moment you stop paying. SEO takes months to build but keeps working without a per-click cost. A lot of businesses use PPC for enquiries now and SEO for the longer term, and we run both.

04 Do I need a new website to run Google Ads?

Not necessarily. But if your site is slow, or the page people land on doesn't match the ad, your cost per lead will be higher than it should be. We'll tell you if the landing page is holding the campaign back, and we can fix it if it is.

05 Can I set a budget limit?

Yes. You set a monthly budget and Google won't spend beyond it. We'll recommend a figure that gives the campaign enough data to work with, and you stay in control of it.

06 Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?

We agree the management fee with you after the audit, once we know how big the account is and how much work it needs. You'll know the figure before anything starts, and there's no locked-in contract, just 30 days' notice if you want to stop.
