Web Design for Accountants
People choose an accountant once and stay for years. Your website is where that decision starts.
Tuerner & Co wanted a new website and a proper marketing strategy. We built the site on headless WordPress and ran a full digital marketing package, and online leads went from 5 a month to more than 30 within three months. We've also worked with JLA Accountants.
What an accountancy website has to do
Make a reader feel they'd be in safe hands. That's clear services (and who they're for: sole traders, limited companies, landlords), real people with real faces, plain English rather than accountancy language, a sense of what it costs, and reviews from clients. It also needs to answer the questions people search before they pick up the phone, which is where the content side of SEO comes in.
Getting found
"Accountant [town]" and "accountant for small business near me" are the searches that matter, and they're local. Local SEO, a strong Google Business Profile and useful content win them over time. Google Ads bring enquiries while that builds, and for a firm like Tuerner & Co the two together moved the numbers fast.
One accountant per area
We don't work for two accountancy firms in the same service area.
How we'd do it
Websites for accountants: your questions
What should an accountant's website include?
The services you offer and who they're for, such as sole traders, limited companies or landlords, real people with photos and qualifications, an idea of fees, reviews, and your professional body and regulatory details. Plain English matters; most people looking for an accountant don't speak accountancy.
Can we describe ourselves as Chartered Accountants on the website?
Only if your firm meets your professional body's rules for that description. ICAEW, ACCA and other bodies have their own rules on firm descriptions and logos, so check yours before we put anything in the header.
Is Making Tax Digital an opportunity for our marketing?
Yes. Making Tax Digital for Income Tax began in April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000, with lower thresholds following. A lot of people are searching for help with it, and a clear, useful page can bring in new clients.
How quickly can a new website bring in leads?
It depends on your market, but with SEO and digital marketing working together it can be quick. Tuerner & Co went from 5 online leads a month to more than 30 within three months of their new site and marketing going live.
Should we show our fees?
We'd recommend at least starting prices or packages. People often compare two or three firms, and clear pricing helps them choose you.
Do you work with other accountants in my area?
No. One accountancy firm per service area.
